This painting of the beautiful village church of Holywell-cum-Needingworth in Cambridgeshire was one of two commissions ordered by Joe, a very kindly gentleman who was in his late 80’s at the time. I believe from what he wrote that the two pictures gave him much pleasure. The picture includes a colourised addition of Joe and his mother sitting on the bridge which crosses the small stream in front of the building.
