This picture in gouache of Georgie was commissioned from Derbyshire pet portrait artist John Twinning by Barbara after she saw my work at The Belper Arts Trail in 2025. The reclining study was based on a photograph supplied by the recipient and edited by the Artist to produce a reference image to work from. Georgie and his companion Kristoff were rescue cats from Cyprus who sadly are both blind. Their appearance could almost lead one to believe that they are siblings, but apparently this ginger and white appearance is the predominant marking for feral cats on the island.
