asThis painting in gouache of actor Mel Gibson as ‘Mad Max’ was a picture I did for my own satisfaction back in 1987. I worked from a publicity card as a photographic reference, so despite not knowing who to credit, I give credit to them here. As this painting was produced 34 years ago it reflects a somewhat freer style than many of my recent paintings.
