Ideas for commissions can be discussed informally and without obligation and John accepts work from anywhere in the UK and worldwide.
Prices start from £250 for a pastel drawing at A4 size (29.7 x 21 cms); like the one of Irish Red Setter ‘Morgan’ (above); to around £500 for a detailed painting in gouache at A3 (42 x 29.7) like the one of ‘Valda’ (below).
Prices increase according to amount of work involved. For example a full-body portrait with lots of details will generally being bigger, meaning it takes longer and will usually cost more.
If you can provide me with some details such as the size you want and perhaps a photo, I can usually get a better idea of the time involved before giving you a free no-obligation quote.
I do not usually give quotes until I know in detail what your requirements are going to be.
You are paying not only for John’s years of skill and experience, but also bear in mind that works with so much detail are extremely labour-intensive.
