Tabatha was my neighbours’ cat and would regularly come round to my place for a lie down and a bit of fuss. I actually think she really liked being an artist’s model and I loved photographing her for this series of paintings. This picture was lovingly crafted by Derbyshire pet portrait artist John Twinning.

She was also one of my earlier pet portraits.
